The Musical Collective T3at3r was founded in 2017 by Mohammad Elfi Bin Ismail, also known by his stage name, 3lfi Ismail.
He is the driving force behind the vision and activities of the collective. His first Malay musical was presented in February 2018 at the Gateway Blackbox Theatre and achieved resounding success with five sold-out performances. This successful debut marked a milestone for the collective and established its presence in Singapore’s Malay musical theatre scene.

Mohammad Elfi Bin Ismail has extensive experience in performing arts, with training in both traditional and contemporary Malay arts. His experience includes participating in the award-winning musical Puteri Gunung Ledang, a significant achievement in the theatre scene of Malaysia and Singapore.

Ismail has also honed his skills at prestigious institutions such as Istana Budaya in Malaysia and Era Dance Theatre Ltd in Singapore. His formal artistic training includes a Career Certificate in Performing Arts and a Masterclass in Choreography at the Jakarta Arts Institute in Indonesia. This extensive training and performance experience significantly influence the artistic direction and quality of T3at3r Muzikal Collective’s productions. Before fully dedicating himself to the collective, Ismail worked as a teacher while pursuing dance part-time.
